Key indicators
Heart-rate zones
The five zones are built from maximum heart rate:
| Zone | Percentage of HR max | Simplified reading |
|---|---|---|
| Z1 | below 60% | recovery |
| Z2 | 60–70% | aerobic endurance |
| Z3 | 70–80% | tempo |
| Z4 | 80–90% | threshold |
| Z5 | 90–100% | VO₂max |
Drift and aerobic decoupling
MINDRAW compares the two halves of the activity. Decoupling measures deterioration in the speed-to-heart-rate relationship. When altitude coverage is sufficient, speed is grade-adjusted so that a more uphill second half is not mistaken for physiological drift.
As an indicative reading, below 5% is generally well coupled; above 10%, drift becomes notable. Terrain, heat, hydration and stops remain important.
VAM
VAM expresses vertical speed in metres climbed per hour. MINDRAW only includes ascending segments steeper than 3%, with at least 30 seconds of climbing and 10 metres gained.
Training load
Load is a TRIMP-style estimate based on time and heart-rate intensity. Its main value is comparing your own sessions with one another.
Estimated VO₂max
The estimate uses available activities. Read it as a trend and compare it with your reference VO₂max, never as a direct substitute for a laboratory test.
